For the past month I've been working on an in-game wiring system. This is now functional, including switches, simplistic diodes, logic gates (AND, OR and NOT), indicator lights and timers.
For the next release I'm going to focus on bi-directional data links, which I'll use to build some Terraria-style fluid pumps and hopefully a teleporter that can move actors around (the demo for that will also need pressure plates).
Here's an animated gif demonstrating two different timers, a switch and some indicator lights:
